Job Description
Seeking a Labor and Employment Paralegal with at least five (5) years of experience in San Francisco, CA
Primary Responsibilities
Compiling, preparing, and summarizing relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery;
Indexing, tracking, and controlling case related materials;
Reviewing documents for relevance and inclusion in case file;
Assist with the preparation of court filings, including cite and fact checking legal briefs, cross-reference checks, confirming proper Bluebook citation, proofreading, and assembling of exhibits and appendices;
Reviewing documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria;
Tracking and controlling document discovery (including documents produced and received in discovery);
Indexing, tracking, and controlling exhibits and other materials at depositions and at trial;
Coordinating trial set-up and logistics as well as serving as liaison among various internal departments as well as with outside vendors, such as translation services, document production vendors and trial graphics providers;
Summarizing depositions and other transcripts;
Working closely and directly with attorneys and clients during all phases of litigation; and
Additional responsibilities include supporting attorneys during trial, including assistance with creation of demonstratives and courtroom presentation/support.

Ability to understand tax forms, including but not limited to federal tax returns and schedules.
Qualifications
BA or BS degree strongly preferred.
Associate's degree or paralegal certificate with five years of comparable work experience required.
Ability to multitask using analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
